New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat is currently holding a significant meeting with 50 prominent Muslim clerics and intellectuals. The meeting is taking place at Haryana Bhawan and has been organized by the All India Imam Organization (AIIO).
Senior RSS leaders, including Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale, Sah-Sarkaryawah Krishna Gopal, senior pracharak Indresh Kumar, and BJP National General Secretary (Organization) B. L. Santhosh, are also in attendance.
The primary agenda of the meeting is to promote unity and cooperation among imams, provide guidance on religious and social issues concerning Indian Muslims, and foster interfaith dialogue and peace. The discussions also aim to contribute to cultural and social development within the country.
This is not the first time Mohan Bhagwat has engaged in such outreach. The All India Imam Organization is one of the largest bodies representing imams in India, serving nearly five lakh imams and offering spiritual and religious guidance to over 20 million Muslims.
The organization is led by Chief Imam Dr. Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, who is known for his active efforts toward interfaith harmony and peace. Dr. Ilyasi is also recognized for his outspoken views on various national and social matters. In the past, Bhagwat has also visited the mosque at Janpath Road in New Delhi at Dr. Ilyasi’s invitation.
