Tuesday proved to be a stressful day for Air India, as the airline was forced to cancel several international flights, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
According to reports, flights including Delhi to Paris and Ahmedabad to London were cancelled due to technical issues. Specifically, flight AI 143 from Delhi to Paris scheduled for Tuesday had to be called off after mandatory pre-flight checks revealed a problem. Consequently, the return flight from Paris to Delhi, AI 142, scheduled for Wednesday, was also cancelled.
In an official statement, Air India said:
“Flight AI 143 was cancelled following issues detected during mandatory pre-flight inspections. As a result, the return service AI 142 from Paris to Delhi has also been cancelled.”
The airline further expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers and assured that alternative arrangements were being made.
“We sincerely apologize to our passengers for the disruption. We are providing hotel accommodation and offering full refunds in case of cancellations or complimentary rescheduling as per the passengers’ preference,” the statement added.
