New Delhi: Starting August 15, the Indian government will introduce an annual FASTag pass for private vehicles, allowing users to cross toll plazas up to 200 times in a year for a one-time fee of ₹3,000. The pass will be valid for either one year or 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first.
This new facility is exclusively for private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans, and will not apply to commercial vehicles. The announcement was made by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari via his official handle on X (formerly Twitter).
Gadkari also mentioned that a dedicated link for the activation and renewal of the annual pass will soon be made available on the Highway Saathi App as well as the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH. This is aimed at making the entire process more seamless and user-friendly.
