New Delhi: The Northeast Railway is set to introduce two new train services connecting Uttar Pradesh to Jammu and Katra in the near future. One train will run from Izzatnagar (UP) to Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, while the other will operate between Ballia and Jammu Tawi.
According to railway officials, the Izzatnagar–Katra train will operate on a tri-weekly basis, meaning it will run once every three weeks. In contrast, the Ballia–Jammu Tawi train will operate on a daily schedule, offering consistent connectivity for passengers traveling to and from the region.
These new routes will be managed by the Izzatnagar and Varanasi divisions of the Northeast Railway. Preparations, including setting up running rooms and ticketing arrangements, are currently underway to ensure smooth operations ahead of the train launches.
The introduction of these services is expected to significantly enhance convenience for travelers, particularly pilgrims and those commuting to northern destinations.
